Tables #327-328

Georgie is an oil painter, multimedia artist and a graphic designer.

Georgie's Statement - Human emotions: joy, sorrow, love, laughter, and all the nuances, are the themes within my art. We often oscillate through these emotions, particularly in these difficult times. It’s important to remember that we are human and the battle now is against AI and the machine. We feel it everyday on a dehumanizing level.

Pablo Picasso stated that “it takes a long time to become young.” I am at that point in my life, and want to rely on my foundation – my humanism. Working with my hands, seeing with my eyes, interpreting with my mind’s vision brings well being.

My current training with Johanna Furst’s studio in Lambertville, NJ, has given me confidence to fulfill a lifelong dream of being a full-time painter.

Johanna Furst

Johanna Furst Studios

Tables #329-330

Johanna is an artst.

Johanna's inspiration begins with people - their complexity, their mystery. I am also fascinated by the intricacy of growth and light patterns in nature. Both embody a longing to connect with a higher source -- together this is where my paintings begin.

Plants and trees intertwine, shade each other, hold each other, choke each other - people do the same. We all have an unfathomable ability to adapt and survive.

As emotional beings, people navigate through life at times harmoniously or perhaps uncomfortably, aggressively, or lovingly. We are capable of living in complete balance, yet it is often fleeting or temporary.

When I walk through nature I see our relationships mirrored there. How rocks rest soundly in their riverbed while water strokes and encircles them. How towering trees create a grand, breathtaking, cathedral while poison ivy or wisteria grip at their base. How meadows of tall grass dance with the wind as if stretching their limber bodies to the vast sky above.

It is all so beautiful, it is all so tragic, it is survival.

Lynn Dunham

Lynn Dunham Fine Art

Tables #345-347

Lynn is an artst of oil paintings, prints, other works on paper and sculpture.

The common thread running through Dunham’s various disciplines is conceptual in its origin and often connected to her Quaker education and existential philosophy. At her core is a preoccupation with light, community, acceptance, dynamism of communication, balance and symbiotic relationships.

She creates in a space which erases the defining lines between photography and painting and painting and sculpture forging a unique path without adhering to traditional classification.

Jennifer Gershon

Tables #352-355

Jennifer is a fine art photographer.

Jennifer Gershon is a photographer from New Hope, PA specializing in fine art portraiture in the painterly style. Her work is inspired by the Old Masters and explores the play of light to create striking images with lush color, texture and dimensionality.

Among some of Jennifer’s influences and reference points for her photographs are Rembrandt, Jacques Louis-David, Velasquez, Ingres, Sargent, Vermeer, Caravaggio and the Pre-Raphaelites.

“I like to spend time with my subjects and get a “read” or inspiration and the portraits evolve from there. Sometimes an object, an article of clothing or a general mood will serve as the basis for a portrait. While certain aspects may be planned out in advance, most often the final image is a result of improvisation in the moment and pure play.

Storytelling plays an important role in the creation of a portrait. When a subject arrives open to imagination and with a willingness to let go and explore ideas this is when the unexpected and often, most gratifying images are realized.

Matt Barba

David Barba Watercolors

Tables #380-383

Matt is representing David Barba Watercolors.

David Barba is a true master, as his paintings are crisp, multifaceted and often filled with concentrated details. His subjects include natural scenes where he captures a slice of the out of doors, often painting woodland with the many layers from the canopy to clusters of flowers growing in and amid the tree trunks.

David Barba is able to build his landscapes to where the multiplicity of branches, leaves, stalks and blades of grass appear to ripple in an afternoon breeze. He often will simply zero his focus in on a single bloom or panoply of assorted blossoms. His still life images burst forth with color and drama, but in all cases the flowers are his primary focus.
